It has come to light that in an undercover intelligence effort, UAE National Security Advisor Tahnoun bin Zayed meets behind closed doors with Trump officials, examining strategic agreements that could shift power dynamics in the Middle East. Potential strategic deals involving Sudan, Syria, and Gaza could reshape the Middle East.
Various leaks from UAE decision-making circles indicate that Tahnoun seeks to convince the Trump administration to secure Abu Dhabi from international sanctions or diplomatic pressure over its backing for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. It also includes influencing the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to stop investigations into war offences perpetrated by RSF, ensuring that the U.S. does not inflict sanctions on the UAE for its activities in Sudan. The Proposed Deal Prearranging major military and security agreements between the UAE and U.S. defence companies, improving intelligence coordination between Abu Dhabi and Washington to whitewash the UAE’s part in Sudan.
According to reports, the Secret Mission is aimed at concealing any proof of the UAE arming RSF and mobilising American lobbying parties to freeze any legal action against the UAE.
UAE also aims to replace Iranian Influence, with Tahnoun bringing to the US a strategic objective to transform Syria by helping UAE-backed factions oppose Iranian influence.
The Proposed Deal Securing U.S. support for UAE influence in Syria as an alternative to Iran. Ensuring continued Israeli airstrikes on Syria under diplomatic cover from Abu Dhabi.
The meetings also encompass sabotage operations for Secret Mission Funding inside Syria, utilising mercenaries and operatives, promoting separatism among minority groups with Israeli-backed assurances, and providing diplomatic support to Israel for its ongoing airstrikes on Syrian territory.
Furthermore, following the unsuccessful attempts to displace Palestinians, the UAE is seeking a new role in Gaza through reconstruction initiatives, funding large-scale projects in exchange for complete Emirati control over the Gaza economy, and placing Palestinian leaders loyal to Abu Dhabi in positions to secure political dominance. This includes establishing a UAE-led security system in Gaza to monitor and suppress resistance activities.
The proposed deal also aims for significant Emirati investments in Gaza in exchange for the economic administration of the entire Strip, transforming Gaza into an Emirati-controlled economic zone in partnership with Israel. The secret mission also sought to support Palestinian figures loyal to the UAE while excluding opposition leaders and taking control of key economic institutions, thereby integrating Gaza into the UAE economy. UAE is also coordinating security efforts with Israel to stop any resistance activity inside Gaza.
Moreover, it seems that the UAE has become a regional proxy for U.S. and Israeli influence. According to leaked information, Tahnoun bin Zayed’s visit to US is not merely a diplomatic gathering but a strategic ploy to reshape regional power dynamics through agreements that redistribute leverage to benefit Abu Dhabi, Washington, and Tel Aviv—at the expense of Sudan, Syria, and Gaza.
The possible consequences of these moves could include prolonging the Sudanese crisis, as U.S. protection shields the UAE from accountability. This may further destabilise Syria due to Emirati intervention coordinated with Israel. It might also turn Gaza into an Emirati-controlled economic zone, disguised as reconstruction efforts. With these high-stakes negotiations, the UAE is positioning itself as a regional power broker, but at what cost to the Middle East?
