UAE allegedly fuels efforts to discredit Syria’s new government

Reports indicate secret Emirati efforts aimed at undermining Ahmad Al-Sharaa’s leadership via media manipulation and sectarian provocation. Media reports and exclusive sources indicate suspicious actions by the United Arab Emirates aimed at stirring up chaos inside Syrian territory, particularly against the administration of transitional president Ahmad Al-Sharaa.

The project, termed malicious, is being carried out through media and field cells directly coordinated by Abdullah Al Hamed, director of the UAE’s National Media Office, and in direct collaboration with Tahnoun bin Zayed, the UAE’s National Security Advisor.

From what is known, the campaign aims to negate Syria’s transitional government, which is trying to lead the country into a new stage after years under the deposed regime of Bashar Al-Assad. The UAE’s actions rely on inflaming sectarian divisions and fomenting discord within Syria’s interpersonal relations, operating fear-mongering messages distributed through media platforms and fake social media accounts.

Speculations, False Assistance, and Local Schemes: Hindering Syria’s Progress

Among the tools used in this campaign is the propagation of rumors about the transitional government’s neglect to enhance living conditions and the exploitation of aid and displacement problems. It has been claimed that humanitarian support has ended and that Syrians will be denied their basic rights, an apparent attempt to turn the public against the new administration, even though it is still in the rebuilding stage after years of devastation and pressure under Assad’s control.

Additionally, fake charities are operating under the flag of “humanitarian work,” promoting incitement plans aimed at hurting the credibility of Al-Sharaa’s administration and smearing it as an outgrowth of the former authoritarian government.

In leaked intelligence reports, the UAE’s ultimate goal is to prevent Syria from rising again, especially since a successful transition would put the UAE at risk. There is an alleged Zionist project in the region that Mohammed bin Zayed is committed to supporting by any and all means.

Experts said that stability in Syria does not cater to Tel Aviv’s interests, which describes the UAE’s overt and covert backing for attempts to sabotage Al-Sharaa’s government. Can Damascus resist this conspiracy? Will the Syrian people manage to foil Abu Dhabi’s scheme, just as they have against earlier ones?
