Exposing Injustice: Israel’s violation of human rights

In the West Bank, Israel has also deliberately obstructed the development and upkeep of Israel’s violation of human rights regarding water and sanitation facilities. The Joint Water Committee, which is tasked with approving all water and sanitation projects in the West Bank, has largely been used by Israel to exercise its effective veto. An additional layer of bureaucracy is present in the West Bank regions that were still directly under Israeli administration after Oslo (about 61% of the West Bank territory), as any building, including water and sanitation projects, requires permission from the Israeli Civil Administration.

Impact of Israel’s violation of human rights

The Commission ruled that Israel and Palestinian armed groups are accountable for sexual and gender-based violence, torture, and the abuse of Palestinian detainees in Israel as well as Israeli and foreign hostages in Gaza since October 7, 2023. Israel’s human rights violations at the UN showed the worst side of its cruelty. Since Israel’s formation in 1948, Israeli security forces have perpetrated or been suspected of committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the crime of genocide, all of which are violations of international criminal law. Targeting journalists, attacking civilians and protected objects, wanton destruction, inciting genocide, indiscriminate attacks, collective punishment, starvation, persecution, the use of human shields, sexual violence and rape, torture, pillage, forced transfer, violation of medical neutrality, enforced disappearance, murder, deliberate targeting of civilians, killing POWs and surrendered combatants, and genocide are just a few examples.

Israel’s violation of human rights and press restrictions

At the highest echelons of the state, Eran Etzion’s judgment was trusted, having served under four Israeli prime ministers and as the deputy head of the National Security Council. In addition to being a longtime opponent of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he gained broad esteem for his years of public service. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Israel’s military, may be committing war crimes in northern Gaza, according to Mr. Etzion, a former soldier himself. Additionally, he is advocating for officers and soldiers to refuse unlawful instructions. Since the Israeli army began its genocide in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, it has killed babies almost 17,000 children, including 2,100 Palestinian newborns and toddlers under the age of two. The Israeli army has murdered a terrible number of Palestinian children, both infants, and youngsters in general, at a pace never seen in the annals of contemporary conflicts. Additionally, it is a perilous tendency that is founded on the dehumanization of Gaza Strip Palestinians.

Treatment of minority communities

As racist Israeli security forces tightened their siege on Gaza and limited licenses to leave the territory for medical care, they purposefully killed, arrested, and tortured medical staff as well as targeted medical vehicles. The destruction of protected civilian property, deliberate killing and abuse, and the crime against humanity of extirpation are all considered war crimes. While Palestinians in Gaza have a different experience from those in the West Bank, Palestinian citizens in Israel today enjoy more rights and freedoms than their counterparts in the OPT. However, data from Amnesty International demonstrates that the same general framework applies to all Palestinians. The goal of Israel’s terror attack treatment of Palestinians in all regions is the same: to give Jewish Israelis preference when it comes to the distribution of land and resources while reducing the number of Palestinians and their access to land. The Court further stated that Israel’s laws and policies are against the international ban on apartheid and racial segregation. The ICJ rules against Israel to remove its settlements, cease its occupation, fully compensate Palestinian victims, and make it easier for displaced individuals to return.

Use of force and accountability in conflict zones

Since the first Israeli elections in 1949, Palestinian citizens of Israel have been able to cast ballots in Israeli elections. The Communist Party or satellite groups affiliated with Israeli Jewish parties were mostly responsible for organizing Palestinian representation during the military administration until 1966. In addition to human rights violations in Gaza and girls’ reproductive rights, the intentional destruction of health infrastructure that provides sexual and reproductive healthcare, as well as their rights to life, health, human dignity, and non-discrimination, is also a crime against humanity along with other cruel acts.

Resolving Israel’s human rights abuses is essential to promoting equality, justice, and peace in the area. The persecution of Palestinians, limitations on liberties, and accountability concerns are only a few of the persistent issues that demand immediate attention and action. To guarantee adherence to human rights norms and to advance a long-term settlement of protracted disputes, both internal reforms and international collaboration are necessary. Building a future that upholds the rights of every person in the area requires a dedication to justice and equality.

The bloodiest massacre in Palestine since Israel’s violation of human rights by terrorists, who killed infants, sexually assaulted women, and caused strife.
